CNBC Extends Season Three of the Hit Series 'The Profit' with Additional Episodes
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — July 21st, 2015 — After a record-breaking 2014, CNBC in primetime continues its ratings success delivering a strong second quarter 2015. Fueled by a distinct programming slate that reflects the channel's commitment to business and entrepreneurship, CNBC in primetime delivered its sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit percent growth among P25-54 in second quarter 2015─ the only cable network to deliver such significant gains. The second quarter 2015 was +26% versus second quarter 2014 making it the most-watched second quarter in network history among P25-54. CNBC's original unscripted programming has averaged 39% more P25-54 in the first half of 2015 than a year ago.*
Contributing to the network's growth is CNBC's popular franchise series "THE PROFIT," the most-watched original series in network history. Keeping that momentum going, the network announced today that it will extend its current third season with new original episodes premiering Tuesday, November 3 at 10PM ET/PT "The Profit" is produced for CNBC by Machete Productions with Amber Mazzola serving as executive producer.
