EAST LYME, Conn., July 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Savings Institute Bank & Trust (Nasdaq:SIFI) will be closing the branch located at 305 Flanders Road, East Lyme, CT on November 13, 2015. The decision to close the office is based largely on the continuing migration of customers to more self-service options, including online banking, the Customer Service Call Center, deposit image ATMs, and the Bank’s website and mobile applications to conduct banking transactions. The Bank will consolidate the operations of the East Lyme branch with the Bank’s Groton branch located at 971 Poquonnock Road, Groton, CT. The Groton Branch offers the same in person service and financial advice as currently offered at the East Lyme location.
The Bank has recently made major investments to upgrade its ATMs, website, online banking, mobile application and Customer Service Call Center in order to serve customers’ banking needs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
