184 Pass Regulatory Affairs Certification Exam, Earn RAC Credential

ROCKVILLE, MD., July 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) announced that 184 professionals earned the Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) credential during the most recent certification exam period this past spring. To earn the RAC, candidates must pass one or more of the four rigorous RAC exams.

The RAC is the only professional credential specifically for those involved with the regulation of healthcare products. Once earned, the certification must be maintained through continuous learning, professional development and leadership activities. The exams and the criteria for maintaining the credential are developed, managed and administered by the Regulatory Affairs Certification Board (RACB) with support from RAPS.

A complete list of all who earned the RAC credential in spring 2015 has been posted online at http://raps.org/Regulatory-Focus/RAPS-Latest/2015/07/30/22938/184-Earn-Regulatory-Affairs-Certification-in-Spring-2015/.

RAC-credentialed professionals work in all parts of the world and in many settings, including industry, government and academic organizations. They are highly regarded and sought after, and RAPS' research shows they earn an average of 10.6% more than their peers without the credential.

The four different RAC certifications available are: the RAC (US) covering US regulations, the RAC (EU) covering European regulations, the RAC (CAN) covering Canadian regulations and the RAC (Global), which covers general regulatory responsibilities and international standards.

The registration deadline for the next RAC exam period this autumn is 1 September. Exams will be administered at locations around the world 1 October–30 November. For more information, visit http://www.raps.org/rac/.
