DETROIT, Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation, the world's leading mainframe-dedicated software company, today announced Compuware CEO Chris O'Malley will give an opening talk at SHARE Orlando, August 10 at the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort.
In his address, O'Malley and a panel of IT experts will discuss the "Apathy Virus," an insidious disease that tricks companies into settling for "good enough" instead of striving for excellence and innovation, resulting in their inability to compete in the digital economy. But with crisis comes enormous opportunity. O'Malley and the panel will discuss how an inspired and collaborative culture coupled with agile processes and the right tools can not only eradicate the Apathy Virus, but actually enable innovation on the mainframe.
In addition to O'Malley's presentation, Compuware will host three technical sessions during the conference. Topics include:
- Debunking myths surrounding Agile development
- The ins and outs of PDSE
- Strategies for migrating to COBOL V5
Compuware Director of Product Management Sam Knutson, a former SHARE Board member and current chair of the SHARE Social Interactions Committee, will present in the very popular z/OS Short Subjects closing session, "Bit Bucket," on August 14.
The company will also demonstrate at booth 105 recently unveiled ground breaking deliverables including the Topaz suite, as well as product integrations between Compuware Strobe and BMC Cost Analyzer for z/Enterprise and MainView.
