Josh Brown, leader of CNBC Pro's "Halftime Report" model portfolio competition, is selling one of his top holdings in favor of a health-care name.

In a bet to keep the momentum going, Brown decided to add shares of HCA Holdings to his portfolio, citing a technical breakout in the stock.

The company, which provides health-care services in the U.S., has seen its shares rise 25 percent this year on the back of positive trends for the group.
