Jay's Back!

CNBC'S 'JAY LENO'S GARAGE' PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 AT 10PM ET/PT

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. & LOS ANGELES, CA — August 13, 2015 —After delivering six consecutive quarters of year-over-year growth among P25-54 in primetime, CNBC today announced the latest addition to the network's expanding primetime lineup, "Jay Leno's Garage," premiering Wednesday, October 7 at 10PM ET/PT. Hosted by legendary comedian and "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno, the new eight-episode hour-long primetime series, covers all things automotive including classic cars, super cars, restoration projects, road tests, investments and the inner workings of the car collectors' market.

"Many of us see automobiles as kinetic artwork, which I find fascinating," said Leno. "Art doesn't always have to be stagnant. It could be rolling down the highway."

"CNBC continues to invest in original programming as it establishes the network as a primetime entertainment destination - and who better to invest in than the king of late night?" said Jim Ackerman, SVP, Primetime Alternative, CNBC. "We all know and love Jay Leno as an American icon, and now we're lucky enough to join him as he explores his other great passion: cars. The show is a celebration of our love affair with all things automotive, with Jay always reminding us that it's the people behind the wheel who provide the real stories."

"Jay Leno's Garage" takes viewers on a ride-along to the intersection of horsepower and humanity. In each hour, Jay will travel the country on the hunt for the car world's most radical rides and highlight the passion and the stories behind them. Whether it's delving into the history of an iconic brand, testing the latest super car, offering consumer advice or investigating the latest automotive innovations, "Jay Leno's Garage" follows Jay on his journey through the always-fascinating world of people, their prized automobiles and cars everywhere, new and old.

Celebrity appearances include actors Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Tim Allen; award-winning director Francis Ford Coppola; Los Angeles Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson; comedian Jeff Dunham; and six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, among others.
