NBCUniversal invests $200 mln in BuzzFeed

NBCUniversal buzzes with digital media stake

Comcast's NBCUniversal said on Tuesday it had invested $200 million in online publisher BuzzFeed and that the companies would also consider "strategic partnerships" in the coming months.

Reuters reported in July that NBC Universal was close to making an investment in BuzzFeed. (Disclosure: NBCUniversal is parent of CNBC.)
