WNET to Ring The Nasdaq Stock Market Closing Bell in Honor of American Graduate Day

WNET, New York’s public media provider that produces quality arts, education and public affairs programming, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square on Friday, August 28 in celebration of the Fourth Annual American Graduate Day. American Graduate Day will take place on October 3 and is a live, seven-hour multiplatform broadcast that is filmed from the Tisch WNET Studios at Lincoln Center in New York City in conjunction with WNET Education. The program explores the critical educational topics central to keeping American children on the path to graduation. American Graduate Day will invite viewers to become an American Graduate Champion by taking one of seven simple steps to help keep kids on the path to graduation – from becoming a mentor to donating school supplies.

In honor of the occasion, Neal Shapiro, President and CEO of WNET, will ring the Closing Bell. He will be joined by guests from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Nine Network of Public Media and American Graduate Day partner organization Junior Achievement.
