SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Chiropractic Group, Drs. Michael Hergenroether, Michael York and James Cochran, announced that Santa Barbara chiropractor Dr. Neils C. Larson has joined the wellness center. A 2015 graduate with honors from Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Larson focuses on the diversified method of chiropractic adjustments for drug-free, non-invasive pain relief. Throughout his adolescence and early adulthood, Dr. Larson was a competitive wrestler and motocross racer. The injuries he sustained while participating in this sport introduced him to the benefits of chiropractic care for pain relief and support proper spinal health. Dr. Larson also credits his family for instilling in him a strong commitment to holistic health and nutrition. The chiropractor says he is excited to share this commitment to whole body health and natural pain relief with his patients.
"Growing up, I was raised with a very holistic approach health," said Dr. Larson. "My mother was very strict about proper diet and lifestyle habits. This philosophy served me well when it came to being a competitive young athlete, and I credit it with instilling in me my current passion for whole body health."
"After receiving chiropractic care for these injuries, I experienced first-hand the transformative power of chiropractic for drug-free pain relief and injury rehabilitation," said Dr. Larson. "Chiropractic care has also improved the health of my family members as well. The more I learned about chiropractic, the more I realized that I wanted to help others experience these profoundly transformative health benefits, too."
Dr. Larson's passion for chiropractic care has taken him to New Delhi, India, where he traveled as part of a medical mission trip in 2014.
"My time in India was truly an incredible gift," said Dr. Larson. "Working closely with a team of medical professionals, I provided chiropractic care for individuals who struggle daily with chronic pain and injury. Many of these individuals have never received an adjustment before. Watching the profound shift that occurred after a single adjustment reaffirmed my commitment to chiropractic care."
At Advanced Chiropractic Group, Dr. Larson will provide comprehensive chiropractic care with a special focus on the diversified adjustment technique for managing chronic pain and injury. Dr. Larson is well-versed in nutrition and holistic health, and frequently integrates lifestyle counseling into his treatment.
"I believe good health truly comes from within," said Dr. Larson. "My mission is to help unlock the body's inner ability to heal and empower patients with the tools and resources they need to live a healthier, more active life."
When not providing chiropractic care, Dr. Larson enjoys fishing, traveling, and meeting new people. Dr. Larson's wife, Kelsey, is a fourth grade teacher with the Santa Barbara Unified School District.
