RESTON, Va., Sept. 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ACADEMI, a Constellis company and global provider of training, logistics and program management services, announced today that it has received its certification for Quality of Private Security Company Operations – Requirements for Guidance (ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012). ACADEMI becomes the fourth Constellis company to achieve this distinction, joining Olive Group, Edinburgh International and Triple Canopy as a PSC.1-certified company.
The rigorous PSC.1 standard builds on the historic Montreux Document and the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC) and was developed by ASIS International, in conjunction with the American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI). The standard reinforces company controls that ensure respect for human rights and national and international laws, and establishes auditable criteria for managing the quality of private security service providers operating "in conditions where governance and the rule of law have been undermined by conflict or disaster."
"We are excited and honored that ACADEMI has received its PSC.1 certification," said Craig Nixon, CEO of Constellis. "Our employees have always been and will always be committed to the highest standards of quality, compliance, professionalism and ethical behavior. Achieving PSC.1 certification with all Constellis companies not only demonstrates our dedication to transparency, but also contributes to our broader goal of improving accountability among private security service providers worldwide."
ACADEMI's certificate was issued by Intertek Certification Limited, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to provide ANSI/ASIS PSC.1 certification. The certification is valid through August 24, 2018.
