The energy sector is down sharply in the broader market sell-off, down three-percent on Tuesday.
Lisa Shalett, head of investment and portfolio strategies at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, tells CNBC's "Power Lunch" she is starting to see some value in the sector, but she believes investors have to be patient if they are planning on getting in now.
Ken Taubes, chief investment officer at Pioneer Investment Management, is also taking it slow with energy stocks.
"I'm cautious on the energy sector, but there are opportunities if you're selective," Taubes said.
Energy is down 20 percent year-to-date.
