NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lexington Realty Trust (“Lexington”) (NYSE:LXP), a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on single-tenant real estate investments, today announced Claire A. Koeneman, a veteran of the financial communications industry, has been appointed to its Board of Trustees effective September 10, 2015.

Koeneman is an Executive Vice President for Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a global public relations firm with offices in 51 countries. She has over 20 years of expertise in corporate communications and is a strategic advisor to CEOs and boards of directors on all types of communications needs. Additionally, Koeneman manages the U.S. Central Region and heads the U.S. financial communications practice.
Prior to joining H+K, Koeneman served as president of Financial Relations Board where she partnered with senior management teams to help maximize their valuation and enhance their corporate reputation. In addition to running the firm’s real estate and REIT practice, Koeneman also developed substantial expertise in transaction-related communications. She holds an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School and a BA from Smith College. Additionally, she serves as a diplomat to the Principality of Monaco in its Honorary Consular Corps.
