Whitestone REIT's Providence Square, Located in Houston, Texas, is 99% Leased With the Addition of Beauty Empire

HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Whitestone REIT (NYSE:WSR) ("Whitestone" or "the Company") today welcomed Beauty Empire, a local credit tenant, to its Providence Square community centered property in Houston, Texas. Beauty Empire, which has leased 9,724 square feet, is a rapidly growing beauty supply product store with more than 19 locations in the greater Houston area.

With Beauty Empire, Providence Square is 99% leased and enjoys a daily traffic count of over 57,000 cars. The family-focused retail center's diverse tenant mix reflects Whitestone's business model and includes national, regional and local tenants. Beauty Empire joins Providence Square's other service-oriented tenants, such as Dollar Tree, SPECS Fine Wines & Foods and Ace Hardware, who meet the daily needs of the residents living in the surrounding neighborhoods.
