QSpex Announces Expanded Product Offerings, Successful Opening of New York City Operations, Roadmap for Expansion in 2016

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QSpex, the innovator of personalized prescription eyewear delivered same-day, today announced enhancements to the company's product offerings, details on the opening of the company's Optical Service Center in New York City, and plans for rapid expansion, domestic and international, in 2016.

Using a combination of proprietary technology and a unique manufacturing process, QSpex fabricates premium prescription eyewear in hours versus days or weeks. This process, coupled with the company's QSpex Concierge and fast-traQ™ dispensing and delivery service distinguishes QSpex from the traditional optical value chain.

The company also announced expanded product offerings with the introduction of QSpex blu-bloQ™, a proprietary monomer formulation that almost completely removes the high energy visible (HEV) portion of the light spectrum, significantly reducing exposure of the eye to this potentially damaging light source. This exposure is commonly found in computer screens, mobile devices and flat screen television screens and is believed to contribute to early onset macular degeneration and the disruption of sleep patterns.

These offerings, along with the entire QSpex catalog of single vision, progressive, anti-reflective, polarized lenses, are now available in New York City through QSpex Authorized Retailers. Starting this month, eyecare providers in the New York City metropolitan area will have the opportunity to offer patients QSpex's premium product lineup and unique, same-day QSpex Concierge and fast-traQ™ delivery services.

QSpex is kicking off their presence in the New York City market with an extensive consumer advertising and social media campaign. Using the tagline "Glasses Same Day. Focusing on the unique QSpex Concierge delivery service, advertising will feature black and white backgrounds highlighted by purple chairs, benches and stadium seats – underscoring how QSpex is ready to deliver to consumers' location of choice. All communications will include a call to action for consumers to visit www.QSpexNYC.com, a microsite that will provide locations for QSpex Authorized Retailers.

The QSpex Experience

To order QSpex eyewear, consumers can now visit more than 100 QSpex Authorized Retailers in the tri-state area. The eyecare provider then sends the consumer's frames to the QSpex Optical Service Center, where lenses fitting the desired prescription, are coated and finished using QSpex proprietary technology. The finished eyewear is then dispatched directly to the consumer's location of choice via the QSpex fleet of branded vehicles where a QSpex licensed optician performs final measurements and makes any necessary adjustments. The entire process is completed in a matter of hours, compared to wait times of up to two weeks with older processes that required lenses to be ground in out-of-state labs and coatings that take days for proper application.

National Expansion

With the official opening of QSpex's New York City Optical Service Center, the company is looking ahead to additional expansion in 2016. Current plans call for the opening of Optical Service Centers in 12 major U.S. markets and select European markets beginning in January. These markets will create a national QSpex presence that we expect to grow exponentially in the years to come.
