(Nasdaq:RGNX), a leading biotechnology company in gene therapy, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 7,245,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $22.00 per share, which includes 945,000 shares of common stock issued upon the full exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional shares. The gross proceeds from the initial public offering to REGENXBIO were approximately $159.4 million, before underwriting discounts and estimated offering expenses.
Morgan Stanley and BofA Merrill Lynch acted as active joint book-running managers of the proposed offering. Piper Jaffray acted as a passive book-running manager. Chardan Capital Markets acted as a co-manager.
