Stocks edge higher as big jobs Friday arrives

Global stocks markets continued to edge higher Friday as investors await key jobs data from the U.S.

The nonfarm payrolls report for September is due out later in the session and is seen as key metric for the Federal Reserve which is nearing its first rate move in seven years.
