Live: Democrats square off in first debate

Democratic presidential hopefuls took the stage Tuesday for their first debate and discussed a wide range of topics including Wall Street regulation, the economy, foreign policy and climate change.

Center stage was former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the front runner for the race, joined by Bernie Sanders, who has been coming in second in the polls, former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, former U.S. Senator and Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee and former U.S. Sen. Jim Webb. Vice President Joe Biden, who has been mulling over entering the ring for weeks, was notably absent.
