SeaChange Leads With Android TV Streaming in Show of Multiscreen and OTT Innovation at Cable-Tec Expo '15

ACTON, Mass., Oct. 13, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SeaChange International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEAC) is using SCTE Cable-Tec Expo '15 to show television service providers new means to create services that can captivate Millennials, the largest living generation. The latest entry into SeaChange's expansive multiscreen repertoire is Android TV streaming of live channels and on-demand content, the debut centerpiece of innovation for video consumption on any device derived from its open platforms on show in New Orleans.

For Millennials streaming has now caught up to live viewing in terms of both time spent viewing and portion of budget, according to Frank N. Magid Associates, a leading research-based strategic consulting firm. Further, while Millennials avidly use all platforms for movies and TV shows, including traditional pay TV, they are much more likely to increase use of streaming TV devices, with nearly 40 percent today using a streaming device connected to a TV.
