Check out the companies making headlines after the bell Wednesday:
Netflix shares tumbled as much as 14 percent after the video streaming provider missed on the top and bottom lines. The company said it saw "higher-than-expected involuntary churn (inability to collect), which we believe was driven in part by the ongoing transition to chip-based credit and debit cards." Its shares recovered some of the initial loss within an hour.
Xilinx popped about 4 percent after the electronic parts maker beat earnings projections but missed on revenue. The company's sales guidance was slightly above estimates.
Tesla said it has and helps vehicles to stay in lanes. The electronic automaker's shares were unchanged after hours.
HCA Holdings, which owns and operates medical facilities, saw its shares fall about 9 percent after it reported third-quarter results.
