Lightning Round: My controversial petroleum play

It's that time again! Jim Cramer rang the lightning round bell, which means he gave his take on caller favorite stocks at rapid speed:

Laredo Petroleum: "When they are all real down, you go for high quality. That's the way it works. I like Occidental it's got that good yield. I know it's controversial. If you don't like that go with ETP for a little yield."

Carlyle Group: "My feeling is that while the Carlyle Group is certainly well respected, I'm not going to disagree with that, I have been partial on this show to the Blackstone Group...I think it's got a better profile. I like those guys."

Box Inc: "I saw Aaron Levie [CEO] just bought 15,000 shares. I mean look, he's a rich guy but you don't buy unless you think it's going down. That's always been my philosophy on insider buying. Stock is at $12, it does seem cheap."

BofI Holding: "You have to understand the way I work. I leave here, I see the stock down $40, I try to do profiles. I read things, I try to figure it out. And I have to tell you the other day I had no idea. So I would be a fool to tell you it's a buy or a sell. Because I could not understand a word about why it was down $40 or up $20. That's no-go for me."

Earthlink Holdings Corp: "I was talking about this company literally today, saying they've got to come on air. I cannot believe the run they have had. Until I speak to them directly I do not want to opine Earthlink, because man is that stock up a lot."
