Hedge funds are on track for their worst performance since the financial crisis.

It's been a tough year for all stock pickers as China turmoil set off a global risk off trade in the second half.

But with the S&P 500 down just 1 percent for 2015, there's still time for the regular guy to repair the damage and post a good year.
