The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center Celebrates 10 More Years of Rich History

STAUNTON, Va., Oct. 26, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center, in the heart of historic downtown Staunton, VA, is celebrating its 10th anniversary since the hotel underwent a $21.1 million dollar renovation and re-opened in 2005. The hotel, originally built in 1924, is recognized by the National Trust of Historic Hotels of America for its historic and architectural significance. Capturing the spirit, history and charm of the Shenandoah Valley, the 124 guestroom hotel underwent a complete renewal and expansion and was restored to its original grandeur. Today the expanded hotel and conference center offers 8,500 square feet of meeting space blending modern amenities and old world sophistication.

“Restoring this Virginia gem to its original beauty was a labor of love supported by the community of Staunton," said Damon Strickland, General Manager, Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center. “The 10th anniversary of the reopening of the hotel is a way for us to say thank you to the many neighbors and community leaders who have supported us throughout the past decade. We are honored to host a private reception for our business partners and city officials to thank them for their support,” added Mr. Strickland.

In addition the hotel is inviting all guests to join the 10 Year Celebration with savings on special hotel experiences. For more information on special promotions visit or connect with the hotel on Facebook.
