The wife of millionaire McDonald's franchise owner Eugene Colley was found dead on Monday. Lois Colley, 83, was discovered at the couple's 300-acre estate in North Salem, New York, with wounds consistent with blunt force trauma, state police reported.
Police have been in touch with Eugene Colley and he is not considered a suspect, according to The Journal News in Lower Hudson Valley.
Police reported that there were no signs of forced entry and the only object missing from the house was a fire extinguisher.
Eugene Colley made his fortune from owning around 100 McDonald's restaurants. Lois was an active volunteer and socialite.
