Planet Payment First to Achieve Visa’s Enhanced Dynamic Currency Conversion Third Party Certification

LONG BEACH, N.Y., Nov. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Planet Payment, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLPM), a leading provider of international and multi-currency transaction services, today announced that it is the first DCC provider to be awarded certification to Visa’s DCC Program for third party service providers (TPSP), and has been granted the status of ‘Recognized DCC TPSP.’

Pay in Your Currency, Planet Payment’s DCC solution (PYC), provides merchants with a way to cater to international tourists - by enabling international visitors using an eligible VISA® or MasterCard® to pay in the currency they know best – their own. With PYC, merchants can offer a more personalized service to international customers while improving the profitability of their businesses. The solution supports approximately 100 currencies and is simple to integrate, with merchants continuing to receive settlement and reporting in their local currency, as they do today.

Visa’s voluntary TPSP Certification program is made available to TPSPs who wish to showcase their compliant DCC solutions, and in return receive official recognition for their commitment to compliance excellence. Acquirers can use this additional certification to better identify trusted DCC solution providers.
