Creating Cabbage Patch Kid Christmas Stories

CLEVELAND, Ga., Nov. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Some of the fondest family Christmas memories include Cabbage Patch Kids and their handmade predecessors, the Little People®. Friends and relatives discuss determined searches across country in 1983 to find a specific Cabbage Patch Kid. The stories and memories are as precious as the gift waiting under the tree Christmas Morning.

Just like Santa's elves, the BabyLand General Hospital Staff are working hard to decorate trees, hide packages and plan surprises for all the babies and kids to celebrate the opening of the Holiday Season at this beautiful, columned, southern style mansion in the Georgia Mountains. They want to make this a memorable year for them and their new adoptive families.

All preparations have to be complete by Saturday, Nov. 21. Towering, silver, sparkling trees, to tiny football helmets on miniature trees are strategically placed in the spacious rooms and nurseries. Yards of red, green and metallic ribbon weave through branches and boughs, winding their way to the tops of the trees, where Bunnybees fly. Holiday Cabbage Patch Kid Cuties peak out from evergreen perches.

The day of activity ends with the Lighting of BabyLand at dusk. With the Global Cabbage Patch Kid family of 130 million, it's exciting to start new traditions as well as respect the ongoing family traditions. The Cabbage Patch Kid Christmas Stories are the theme of this Holiday Season. Cabbage Patch Kids and Little People connect friends and family. As generations share their stories of adopting one of creator Xavier Roberts' hand-stitched to birth Little People or Cabbage Patch Kids, you also learn about the unconditional love of this very large global family.
