Wedbush Securities Names Joe Signorelli Managing Director and Head of Wedbush Futures

CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wedbush Futures, a division of Wedbush Securities Inc. and a full-service Futures Commission Merchant ("FCM") providing futures execution and clearing services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Signorelli as Managing Director and Head of Wedbush Futures. He is a 29-year veteran in the financial services industry.

Joe has served as Managing Director of Wedbush Securities and its subsidiary Lime Brokerage since 2011, and joined Lime Brokerage's Board of Directors in June 2015. Joe's responsibilities included managing a Quantitative Market Strategies division, launching the Wedbush Market Neutral LP hedge fund, and managing development of software used by systematic traders to develop cross-asset class strategies. Prior to Wedbush, Joe was the Co-founder and CEO of Cactus Trading Systems LLC, which was acquired by Lime Brokerage in 2011. He spent six years at TD Securities as Managing Director of the QuantStat Trading Group and participated in the firm's compliance, risk, and executive boards. QuantStat managed a variety of systematic trading strategies, and, for a period of time, was a leading market-maker in the US single stock futures business. Prior to TD, Joe was a Director at Stafford Trading and Partner at Stafford Capital Management, where he focused on market neutral strategies and quantitative trading. He worked in this role from 1997 until 2002, when TD Securities acquired Stafford. From 1987 to 1997, Joe actively traded equity and options at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He was a member of the Chicago Board Options and the Midwest Stock Exchange, currently known as the Chicago Stock Exchange. He holds the Series 7 and Series 4 licenses.

"Joe is a strong addition to Wedbush Futures. He fully complements the strategy to build a superior cross-asset class clearing and execution business based on the breadth of his exposure to trading strategies in the securities and derivative markets, and his history of working in leadership capacities" states Rich Jablonski, Executive Vice President, Wedbush Securities Inc.

The management team of Wedbush Futures includes Tom Anderson, who joined the firm in June 2015 from ABN AMRO as Senior Vice President of Proprietary Trading Group Services and now also serves as Head of Sales. The team also includes Patti Kane, Senior Vice President, and current Chief Financial Officer.

Carl Gilmore, an executive with Wedbush Futures, is transitioning to a private consulting business and it is Wedbush's intention to be among his first clients. Carl's decision to open a consulting business follows the successful transition of the business that Carl led to the Wedbush Futures platform. Bill Goodwin and Kim Swahlstedt, who joined the firm with the asset acquisition of Crossland LLC, are remaining on as senior advisors to Wedbush Futures. Their industry experience was instrumental in the formation of Wedbush Futures.

Wedbush Futures is a full service Futures Commission Merchant ("FCM"), providing futures execution and clearing services to the world's major futures exchanges. Wedbush Futures supports a variety of clients, including non-clearing FCMs, Introducing Brokers, Professional Traders, Institutions, Commercial Hedgers, AP Users, and Individual Investors.
