"Halftime Report" trader Stephanie Link sold out of an energy name Tuesday, choosing instead a tech stock for CNBC Pro's model portfolio competition.

In early trading, the money manager exited her position on Weatherford International (WFT), noting further headwinds for this energy name as WTI crude oil broke below $37 per barrel for the first time since 2009.
