Simple Matters™ Announces New Apps and Uses for Universal Smartphone Notifier Ditto® at CES 2016

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 05, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Simple Matters™, a Santa Monica-based technology company that creates simple and elegant solutions for everyday problems, announced today a mobile application upgrade for Ditto®, its new smartphone notification device. In this upcoming software release, available in early 2016, Simple Matters will expand Ditto’s compatibility with additional mobile applications, giving users a broader and more personalized experience. From transportation and food delivery, to dating, instant messenger and organization apps, updates will ensure Ditto continues to lead the way as the foremost universal and affordable smartphone notification device for the consumer market.

Released in August 2015, Ditto is a small, discreet, waterproof, Bluetooth wearable notification device that notifies users of calls, texts, social media updates, emails, calendar alerts, alarms, timers, and more. Ditto is available online and at select retailers for $39.95, and works with both iPhone and Android smartphones. The product comes in three different colors—black, white, and clear—and can be personalized to receive customized vibrations from selected parties through its free app.

Ditto currently integrates with Uber, Snapchat, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, and WeChat. The coming software release will include compatibility with apps like Twitter, Hinge, Post Mates, Fan Duel, Lyft, and many more.

“Our new mobile application lets people stay connected just to what matters to them, filtering out what’s not,” said Marc Guren, CEO and Co-founder of Simple Matters. “We’re excited at how well Ditto has touched a nerve with both our customers and other companies wanting to work with us to extend its reach. From Uber and Facebook updates to important appointment alerts, users can rest assured they aren’t missing relevant notifications, while disconnecting from their phones and enjoying each moment.”

In addition to the mobile upgrade that will enable compatibility with popular mobile apps, Simple Matters is opening up the Application Program Interface (API) giving outside developers and companies the tools to integrate Ditto with their products and services and allow their users to create a customizable and connected experience that’s simple and secure.

“We believe Ditto has already improved the lives of its users, and this upgrade will offer even more functionality,” added Guren. “Whether it’s a busy parent, a corporate professional, an employee in a loud work environment, or a hard of hearing individual, people can customize how they stay connected and attend to only what’s important to them.”
