OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A national leader in advancing high-quality, affordable patient care, the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) today launched a new logo and redesigned website—www.iha.org—reflecting the organization’s expertise in health care performance measurement, data analytics and reporting.
The new logo—a scatter graph or bubble chart of different-sized converging orange disks—symbolizes IHA’s core competencies:
- Expertise in health care performance measurement, data aggregation, analytics, reporting and alternative payment models, such as IHA’s Value Based Pay for Performance program (VBP4P).
- Role as a trusted and neutral convener of diverse stakeholders across health care sectors committed to high-value, integrated care that improves quality and affordability for patients across California and the nation.
“IHA’s new look captures both our expertise with health care data and information and our role as a convener of diverse stakeholders—from providers and health plans to patients and purchasers to policymakers—to solve common problems and improve care,” said IHA President and CEO Jeff Rideout, M.D.
Along with the new logo and fresh look, the IHA website has improved functionality to make it easier for users to find IHA information and resources. For well over a decade, IHA has been at the forefront of using health care quality, cost and resource use measures to guide performance improvement. Since 2001, IHA’s VBP4P program has grown into one of the largest alternative payment models in the country and now includes 10 health plans and more than 200 California physician organizations caring for 9 million Californians enrolled in commercial health maintenance organization (HMO) and point of service (POS) products.
IHA’s performance measurement and data analyses also include Medicare Advantage Star ratings of physician groups, standardization of performance measurement in Medi-Cal managed care, geographic variations in health care quality and costs, and standardizing encounter data exchange processes between health plans and providers to ensure payment accuracy.
Based in Oakland, Calif., the nonprofit Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) convenes diverse stakeholders—including physicians, hospitals and health systems, purchasers and health plans—committed to high-value, integrated care that improves quality and affordability for patients across California and the nation.
