INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PTS Diagnostics, the U.S.-based manufacturer of point-of-care biometric testing devices such as the CardioChek® family of analyzers, A1CNow® systems, and PTS Detect™ cotinine systems, has renewed its multi-year agreement with Life Line Screening to provide the CardioChek family of lipid and glucose testing products for Life Line Screening’s use across the country.
Life Line Screening, the nation’s largest provider of direct-to-consumer preventive health screenings, will begin using the CardioChek Plus analyzer allowing simultaneous testing of lipids and glucose with a single fingerstick in the first quarter of 2016.
Over the past several years, Life Line Screening used the CardioChek PA analyzer to significantly increase the number of health screenings the company performed. During this time period, Life Line Screening expanded into several additional states.
“CardioChek analyzers have helped us provide superior quality and customer service to our health screening participants,” said Sara Zywicki, Life Line Screening's Vice President of Clinical and Product Management. “Their system is accurate and easy to use. It doesn't require refrigeration and is battery-operated, which are important operational benefits for our teams. We have become a more efficient organization thanks to the use of the CardioChek system. The upgrade to the CardioChek Plus analyzer should help us become even more efficient in 2016.”
Joe Gonzalez, President of Hanson Medical Systems, commented that Life Line Screening’s experience with PTS Diagnostics’ education, training, and technical support has been excellent. “Life Line Screening has had a very good track record with the CardioChek systems by PTS Diagnostics. At Hanson, we understand that the CardioChek systems have helped Life Line Screening grow their business, and PTS Diagnostics provides superior service to their customers,” said Gonzalez. “Hanson is very proud to participate in Life Line Screening’s success.”
Robert Huffstodt, President and CEO of PTS Diagnostics, said the CardioChek family of products continues to grow in popularity among wellness and biometric screening companies.
“Life Line Screening has taken full advantage of the CardioChek analyzer’s proven accuracy, speed, reliability, and efficiency,” said Huffstodt. “This is exactly the type of story we at PTS Diagnostics love to share. They are a model customer.”
The CardioChek Plus analyzer, a cost-efficient, user-friendly diagnostic point-of-care device, provides rapid on-site lipid panel plus glucose screenings. The capability to deliver both results in as little as 90 seconds enables healthcare professionals to screen more individuals faster. Offering simultaneous testing of a lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides) and glucose, the CardioChek Plus analyzer also calculates LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio, LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio, and non-HDL cholesterol. The CardioChek Plus device requires only a small blood sample from a fingerstick.
