Video of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 was apparently leaked online a week before its official unveiling.

Video of the new phone was made available on YouTube by the company's Indonesian arm, according to numerous reports. Samsung declined to comment to CNBC.

The video comes ahead of the phone's planned unveiling on Feb. 21 in Barcelona, Spain, one day before the kickoff of the Mobile World Congress, the biggest global gathering of mobile device makers and mobile app developers.

The Samsung's Galaxy S7's new features are expected to include water resistance and wireless charging capabilities.

Samsung has been the leader in the smartphone market, but its phone shipments have slowed, according to Juniper Research. It shipped 317 million of its mobile devices in 2015, which amounted to sales growth of less than 1 percent from the year earlier.

Apple, Samsung's biggest competitor in terms of popularity, also reported slower iPhone sales growth but reached a record profit for those devices, Juniper reports.
