SAN ANTONIO, TX, Feb. 29, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Payment Data Systems (NASDAQ:PYDS) today announced an agreement with Spark Development Network, the creator of Rock RMS, for payment processing services. Rock RMS, an open source Relationship Management System built for churches and businesses, provides feature-rich, innovative tech solutions that power internal ministry sites and user portals, manage external church websites, and manage all aspects of ministry data and record-keeping. Payment Data Systems will be a premiere provider of processing services for Rock RMS’s installed base and future church and other customers.
“Payment Data Systems is deeply committed to delivering the highest value and most reliable payment processing services available for church communities and religious ministries, and our new partnership with Rock RMS emphasizes the importance of religious non-profits to our well-established ACH, credit card, and debit/check card only payment processing platforms,” said Louis Hoch, President & COO of Payment Data Systems. “Rock RMS is a content management system (CMS), relationship management system (RMS) and church management system (ChMS) all rolled into one platform. The Rock RMS technology supersedes all other solutions available for giving and tithing management, and we are excited to offer immediate conversion to this world-class secure solution to all of our 500+ church customers. We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Rock RMS including potential opportunities for co-branding and other marketing innovations in the future.”
Payment Data Systems will also be providing services to convert churches from existing church management platforms to Rock RMS.
As a premier partner to Rock RMS, Payment Data Systems provides payment processing services through the Rock RMS module supporting giving, tithing and donations. Payment Data Systems’ technology is embedded into the standard offering for Rock RMS web and mobile applications and available to all Rock RMS users. Payment Data offers multiple payment processing solutions for church member communities including credit, ACH, debit, check and prepaid card processing, as well as a hosted payment page that utilizes tokenization for Rock RMS users that are not PCI compliant. Payment Data also offers an innovative solution that restricts giving to non-credit card based methods by only allowing ACH, debit, check and prepaid cards.
Jon Edmiston, Executive Director of Rock RMS, stated, “We are thrilled to have Payment Data Systems as a premiere payment processing partner. For over ten years, their commitment to churches and ministries has led to many strong relationships and customized, innovative solutions that support non-profit payment platforms.
