Ubben shared his views on the firm's investment strategy, oil prices and Valeant Pharmaceuticals, among other topics.
On oil prices he said, "People say that it's gonna maybe go to $55 and hang out there. No way ... with the disinvestment we've seen, [by] 2019 the marginal barrel could easily push it $100 again."
Ubben founded ValueAct Capital in 2000. Previously, the activist hedge fund manager was a managing partner at Blum Capital Partners and a portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments.
