LogFire will now offer Wavelink Speakeasy to companies needing a cost-effective way to enable mobile warehouse workers with voice picking technology. The combined solution pairs LogFire’s Warehouse Management Cloud with Wavelink Speakeasy. Wavelink complements LogFire’s data collection via barcode scanning, RFID and keyboard entry by facilitating voice-based data entry (speech-to-text) as well as voice direction from an application (text-to-speech).
Wavelink’s Speakeasy solution uses speech recognition to allow warehouse workers to communicate with LogFire’s Warehouse Management Cloud Solution. Warehouse employees interact with the system via a wireless, wearable computer with a headset and microphone to receive picking directives by voice, and verbally confirm their actions back to the system. The wearable computer, or voice terminal, communicates with the LogFire Warehouse Management Cloud to manage the picking and fulfillment of items throughout the distribution center.
