BYOCup, fill it with 7-Eleven Slurpee

Source: 7-Eleven

7-Eleven is letting you start your weekend with a killer brain freeze.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, customers can bring their own cup and fill it with Slurpee to celebrate the frozen drink's 50th birthday for just $1.50, usually the average price of a medium Slurpee.

However, there are limitations. In its Monday statement, 7-Eleven said that customer cups cannot exceed 10 inches upright. The container also must be "leak-proof, safe and sanitary." So trash bags, kiddy pools and kitchen sinks won't cut it.

So none of this shenanigans:

"Last year's BYOCup Day was a huge hit, and because this year is the big Slurpee Fiftee celebration, we added a second day so more people can get in on the fun," Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, said in a statement.

"We saw just how creative Slurpee fans can get during the first BYOCup Day. They filled drums, kettles, fishbowls, helmets and teapots. I can't wait to see what they bring this year."
