RICHMOND, Va., March 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Legum & Norman, an Associa company, is proud to announce President Johns Rhodes' appointment to Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe's administration staff. The administration is focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will build a new Virginia economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth.
Rhodes will serve on the Common Interest Community Board, a division of the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. The board regulates common interest community managers, as well as certain employees of licensed management firms. The board's authority also includes condominium and time-share project registrations, and extends to transactions occurring within Virginia.
"I'm honored to have been selected by Governor McAuliffe to be a part of a team that will help regulate the HOA and condo association industry on behalf of property owners across the state," says Rhodes. "I look forward to being an active member of this board and I am confident that my years of experience and knowledge about the industry will add value to this prestigious group of advisors."
Rhodes has been involved in the real estate industry since 1974 and has more than 35 years' experience in the association management industry. He has served as president of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and on the National CAI faculty, teaching several Professional Management Development Program courses. John also served on CAI's inaugural National Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Community Managers and is a member of the local CAI chapter Hall of Fame.
