Tweets celebrating the memory of Intel's long-time chief Andrew Grove have poured in since at the age of 79.
As chief executive of Intel from 1987-1998 and chairman from 1997- 2005, Grove is credited with helping usher in the personal computing era with his focus on chips such as the 386 and the Pentium. He was also revered as an exceptional manager, with his 1999 book "Only the Paranoid Survive" a bestseller.

On Facebook, Dell CEO Michael Dell posted a video of Grove from 1992, saying: "Remembering Andy Grove, one of the greatest ever. Teacher, Friend, Leader. Told it like it was and made it happen."
