KIRKLAND, Wash., March 30, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Talyst Long-Term Care Division, a leader in automated medication management for skilled nursing facilities, announced today the appointment of Huan Nguyen to the newly created position of Vice President of Automation Operations. Huan comes to Talyst LTC with the unique background of medication management automation and business process & policy improvement in post-acute care.
George Kondrach, General Manager of Talyst's Long-Term Care Division said, "Huan adds significant and expanded perspectives to our team, our mission, and our markets. Post-acute care facility consumers become more aware each year of the tremendous business impact that Talyst LTC can deliver into their operations. They've also become more discriminating and more ambitious in their own internal initiatives to refresh, to reform, or to replace lagging pharmacy relationships, services, and providers with those that they define as more aligned to their operational realities. Huan has demonstrated effective leadership in aligning LTC Facility and LTC Pharmacy process change, and in applying best-practice automation to both ends of this complicated relationship, while always keeping in mind that he is committed to improving outcomes for both. These are ideal perspective for Talyst LTC to bring to bear in our market."
Prior to Talyst, Nguyen spent four years as the Vice President of Operations at AlixaRx, during its inception and spinoff from Golden Living. He helped define, create, and operationalize the innovation in pharmacy services that persists between AlixaRx and Golden Living, and which serves as one model of how a modern, automated medication supply relationship can replace less-advanced methods. Nguyen was responsible for operations and performance of all pharmacy hub locations, as well as implementation of new business, compliance, and development of standardized operating processes and procedures. Nguyen's previous experience includes Vice President of Operations at OnSiteRx, and Vice President of Operations at Walgreens Long-Term Care Pharmacy where he managed branch locations of five long-term care pharmacies. Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Washington, and is a registered pharmacist in both Texas and Washington State.
