How to trade the brutal earning season ahead

First-quarter earnings reports kicking off next week will likely show profits dropped by almost 10 percent, according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, marking the third period in a row with negative earnings growth. But there are some stocks that could rise above this woeful earnings season, according to the investment bank.
