INDIO, CALIF., April 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa Desert Resort Management joins forces with the Indio Police Department and the Office of Mayor Glenn Miller in the first of a series of special presentations called 'Keeping Your Community Safe.'
The kick-off to the 2016 safety series began on March 29 at the Associa Desert Resort offices in Indio where guest speakers, Officer Benjamin Guitron with Community Safety and Division Commander Johnny L. Romero with Field Services, joined Mayor Miller for an engaging presentation on best practices for neighbors working together for the safety of the community.
"This is a great opportunity for Indio residents to get a change to interact with local law enforcement and city officials and ask face-to-face questions," says Associa Desert Resort Management President Mark Dodge. "We had a great turnout for our first event of the year and I think we'll see even more people come out as we continue the series."
The event was sponsored by Gary Butler from Asphalt MD's and gave an overview of recommended safety and security measures in the City of Indio. Topics discussed included security and safety issues pertaining to properties, methods to share information among communities, festival planning, a discussion on resources available through the city for short-term leasing and code enforcement regulations.
