Show premieres in Europe on May 5 and in Asia on May 6
London & Singapore, April 15 2016. CNBC, the world's leading business and financial news network, has unveiled its latest international content series Marketing.Media.Money.
Airing as a 30 minute, monthly TV feature with companion digital and social content, the series will navigate the $600 billion global advertising industry through the eyes of the senior marketers who are driving its evolution.
Hosted by CNBC anchor Julia Chatterley, Marketing.Media.Money will profile the chief marketing officers at some of the world's biggest brands. It will explore their careers, their business challenges and how they are directing their significant advertising spend. It will also spotlight the technological and consumption trends that are both fuelling and disrupting the business of brands.
Alongside Chatterley, the series will feature well-known media entrepreneur and chairman of C Squared, Charlie Crowe, as a guest contributor. CNBC Executive Producer, Martin Conroy, will oversee production.
Episode one will feature Unilever CMO Keith Weed. It premieres in the UK and across Europe on Thursday May 5 at 22.00 BST and in Asia on Friday May 6 at 17.00 Sin/HK.
To accompany the TV series CNBC.com will showcase exclusive footage and complementary explorations on the themes discussed. Social media will also play a big role with planned Facebook Live chats and Twitter exchanges to broaden the conversation.
Speaking at the show's London launch, Conroy said: 'Marketing.Media.Money looks at an industry that's undergoing unprecedented change. Advertising has always been an uncertain business, but the game is now changing at incredible pace: the platforms are expanding; the feedback is instant and the consumer has taken control. This series will guide the CNBC investor audience through a complicated but crucial dimension of business.'
The series launched last night at an event in the CNBC London studios attended by over a hundred CNBC clients, media agency leaders and notable marketers from a variety of global brands.
