IRVINE, Calif., April 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Roland DGA's VersaUV® LEJ-640FT UV flatbed printer has been recognized by ISA as one of the sign and graphics industry's most innovative products for 2016. The LEJ-640FT was one of just six products selected as standouts in the ISA Sign Expo 2016 Innovation Awards competition, and the only wide-format printer among this year's winners. The ISA International Sign Expo 2016, which will take place April 20-23 in Orlando, Florida, is the largest U.S.-based sign and graphics show, attracting thousands of attendees from across the country and nearly 600 exhibitors.
The VersaUV LEJ-640FT impressed the ISA judging panel with its ability to print vibrant, detailed graphics on virtually any substrate, including three-dimensional objects up to six inches thick and weighing up to 220 pounds. In addition to printing CMYK, the LEJ-640FT can also print white and clear inks to create unique layering, embossing and textural effects.
The six products named ISA Sign Expo 2016 Innovation Awards winners were deemed best of the best by a panel of sign and graphics industry experts. According to Iian Mackenzie, ISA vice president of meetings and events, "While there were a number of truly innovative products submitted and available on the tradeshow floor, the 2016 Innovation Awards winners offer ideas that can transform the industry through better workflow solutions or more effective products for end users."
"We're thrilled to receive this kind of recognition from ISA," said Rick Scrimger, President of Roland DGA. "The LEJ-640FT is truly a one of a kind product, and we're looking forward to showing attendees all the amazing things this UV flatbed can do at the upcoming Expo in Orlando."
