Conceived by Lounge22’s founder and acclaimed designer Armen Sevada Gharabegian, the Nara Nesting Table is a three-piece set, designed in Los Angeles and crafted in Japan. Each piece works well together or separately, made to nest in a variety of settings.
“Material selection is an important part of function, as well as aesthetics,” said Gharabegian. “The bamboo we selected for our Nara Nesting Table has the unusual quality of being sturdy, yet it is also light, and we believe, beautiful. The technology surrounding the bending process was originated in Japan after several years of development.
“Sustainability also was our objective with this product. Bamboo grows rapidly and absorbs carbon dioxide, which is the root cause of global warming, so it was the perfect ecology-friendly choice,” Gharabegian added.
The Nara Nesting Table, priced at $3,300, comes as a complete set of three individual tables: the largest weighs 20 lbs., and measures 42 x 20 x 18 inches; the medium table weighs 17 lbs. and measures 29 x 19.25 x 16.5 inches; and the small table weighs 13 lbs., with dimensions of 35.75 x 18.5 x 15 inches.
