Armour Celebrates Seattle Mother with “Great Moms” Campaign

LISLE, Ill., May 09, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Armour, the makers of great and convenient products including frozen meatballs, pepperoni and portable meal kits, celebrated Mother’s Day in Seattle by honoring Karla Petersen, an extraordinary adoptive and foster mom.

Petersen is an unsung hero to her eight foster and adopted children ranging in ages from 9 to 29. Petersen not only provides a nurturing environment for her children, but also gives them a warm home, access to education and provides for all of their daily needs.

Petersen’s love and dedication has bettered the lives of her foster children, who all came from challenging circumstances. She is also a regular speaker on behalf of Treehouse, a nonprofit organization that invests in the bright futures of youth in foster care by helping them succeed in school and in life.

Petersen was honored during a luncheon hosted by Armour as a part of their “Great Moms” campaign. Armour recognized Petersen for being a “Great Mom” in front of family and friends and partnered with Albertsons Safeway to reward Petersen with $2,500 in free groceries.
