Russia says 8 Russians at 2012 Olympics tested positive for doping

The Russian Olympic Committee said on Saturday that re-tests of A samples from eight Russian sports people at the 2012 Olympics in London had tested positive for doping.

The Russian committee said in a statement on its website that the International Olympic Committee had informed it of the positive doping results.

It did not reveal the names of the eight sports people but said they participated in three different types of sport.
