PRINCETON, N.J., June 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- APCER Life Sciences, the truly global provider of safety, medical, regulatory, and technology services, will be a major participant in the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Drug Information Association (DIA), taking place June 27-30, 2016, in Philadelphia, PA. The company will share its knowledge and experience in various educational sessions and will make a donation to the National Organization for Rare Disorders on behalf of every visitor to its exhibit booth in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

“We’re excited to bring our executives and team leaders from the Americas, Europe, and Asia together around the DIA Annual Meeting,” said Suneet Walia, President and CEO of APCER Life Sciences, Inc. “With Philadelphia’s proximity to our US home base in Princeton, NJ, many of our safety and medical information operations staff will also have the opportunity to attend sessions and meet industry peers.”

Dr. Vineet Kacker, co-founder and Technical Director of APCER Life Sciences, will chair a session titled Impact of the European Medicines Agency’s Medical Literature Monitoring Service on Pharmacovigilance Processes. Dr. Sanjeev Miglani, who heads a global team of pharmacovigilance professionals at APCER, will present a poster titled Safety Reporting Requirements for Clinical Development in Regulated and Unregulated Markets. Both are on the agenda for Wednesday, June 29.

The APCER Life Sciences team will be stationed in Booth 1725 to meet with current and prospective clients from Monday, June 27, through Wednesday, June 29. “Our company recognized NORD’s Rare Disease Day on February 29th by sharing experiences of our family members and friends who suffer from a rare disorder,” said Jill Notte, Director of Global Marketing at APCER Life Sciences. “We were all inspired to do more to support these very special patients and their caregivers.”

APCER Life Sciences is active in the DIA around the world. The company recently exhibited and presented at DIA’s Innovations in Pharmacovigilance in Mumbai, India, May 13-14, as well as the 28th Annual EuroMeeting in Hamburg, Germany, April 6-8.
