New York, NEW YORK, June 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 37th Annual Telly Award winners have been announced, and Morinda has been named a double-winner for their video highlighting one of their long-time product users, Mike Johnson.
The Telly Awards aim to honor outstanding video productions ranging across all platforms. This year’s Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Morinda’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill and dedication to their [brand].”
A prestigious judging panel of over 650 accomplished industry professionals judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The panel awarded Morinda two Bronze awards, both for their “Mike Johnson—Tahitian Noni Juice” video. The awards were given in the “Health & Fitness” and “Motivational” categories.

True to their goal, this video has been the most shared social media post for Morinda. The inspiring story of Mike Johnson, a Vietnam War vet who lost his legs to a landmine, shows viewers that anything is truly possible if you put your mind to it. After losing his legs and several of his fingers, Johnson went on to be a multi-event medalist in the Paralympics, a Championship-winning basketball coach and an incredible teacher for today’s youth.
“The wheelchair was just an inconvenience,” recalled Johnson. “I bet myself I could be the best in a wheelchair that anybody had ever been.”
