Tech Data Cloud Adds ISV Solutions to Support Microsoft Ecosystem

CLEARWATER, Fla., June 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today introduced a community of independent software vendors (ISVs) designed to support the ecosystem of Microsoft solutions offered by its Tech Data Cloud business unit. These ISV solutions, which are now available in the United States through the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store, enable Tech Data’s solutions providers to easily differentiate offerings while providing more complete solutions to end users. The announcement was made in conjunction with Tech Data’s Channel Link 2016 event, taking place this week in Atlanta, Georgia.

Spanning
Tech Data Cloud now offers data protection from Spanning®, an EMC company, including Spanning Backup, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) backup and recovery solution that minimizes the risk of data loss for organizations using Microsoft Office 365. Spanning delivers daily comprehensive, automated backup and restore technology, significantly improving the quality of data protection to help meet business continuity and compliance requirements for data management.

Akumina’s technology platform is the only developer framework designed specifically to connect Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint to any other business system of record. Akumina also offers Intranet 365, an out-of-the-box intranet that allows its clients to realize immediate value with their Microsoft Office 365 investment.

Tech Data is partnering with Forceworks, a Microsoft-certified cloud deployment partner, to offer its RapidStart CRM, a platform Microsoft partners can utilize to deploy customer relationship management software to their small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers. This offering is designed for would-be CRM partners with no CRM experience and includes a deployment methodology and associated software that helps customize the CRM technology for customers.
