Gundlach on Fed, Trump and making big trades

Jeff Gundlach discussed his views on Donald Trump, a Brexit, the Fed and his favorite investment ideas on CNBC's "Halftime Report " Friday.

"Trump is bonds negative and stocks positive," said Gundlach, adding that any weakness in the stock market because of a Trump presidency would be a buying opportunity.

Gundlach said it's no coincidence the stock market has gone nowhere since the Fed stopped expanding its balance sheet via quantitative easing.

In the wide-ranging interview, Gundlach also described what it's like to make a great trade. "Your hands are shaking as you write the buy ticket," he said.

Gundlach is founder and CEO of DoubleLine Capital. Previously, he worked as a bond fund manager for TCW.
