CNBC Meets' Tania Bryer speaks to global music megastar Dolly Parton, who takes the time to discuss her humble beginnings with CNBC, her business acumen and her success as a music icon.

In the first half of the episode, Parton speaks out about her relationship with her family and how she was always "dreaming big", despite growing up being poor.

"I didn't know that I was gonna make it but I wanted to make it, and I never even thought that I wouldn't. That was just my dream," the singer told CNBC.

The cultural icon goes on to discuss her partnership with mentor Porter Wagoner, and famous songs she wrote including "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Will Always Love You".

Fellow musicians, Kenny Rogers and LeAnn Rimes also talk to CNBC about how the country superstar had a personal impact on their lives and on the industry itself.
